Richter Animal Hospital is pleased to provide complete Wellness Diagnostic Testing.We feel that it is important to understand the potential benefit of early disease
detection and health maintenance through yearly diagnostic testing.

While a complete history and a thorough physical exam are a very important part of your pets care, it cannot provide us with a complete picture of how the body is functioning internally. Note: 1 out of every 11 pets appearing to be outwardly healthy showed abnormalities on blood work. |

By performing a complete blood work analysis, we can evaluate the status of your pet's major internal organs. In addition to organ function, it can alert us to many other medical conditions, such as diabetes, kidney disease, or anemia. |

The function of organs such as the liver and kidneys can be particularly important because these organs are responsible for processing many medications and anesthetics. Note: A pet can lose up to 75% of kidney function before showing visible signs of illness. |

Testing a healthy pet provides a base line that will be stored in his/her medical history that can be used to track any changes over time. |
